Pet Shop Boys es un dúo de pop electrónico de Inglaterra. Sus integrantes Neil Francis Tennant (vocalista, tecladista y ocasional guitarra y Christopher Sean Lowe (tecladista y ocasional vocalista) han vendido más de 100 millones de discos en todo el mundo.  Aun cuando continúan produciendo música y colaborando con otros músicos su época dorada o de mayor auge internacional lo fue en los años ochenta, cuando gozaban de esa popularidad filmaron Domino Dancing en el viejo san juan.  El video fue grabado en aproximadamente cuatro días en la nuestra antigua ciudad colonial de San Juan en 1988 y se destaca en el video musical el cementerio Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis. 

Pet Shop Boys is an electronic pop duo from England. Its members Neil Francis Tennant (vocalist, keyboardist and occasional guitarist) and Christopher Sean Lowe (keyboardist and occasional vocalist) have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Even though they continue to produce music and collaborate with other musicians during their golden age or greatest international boom was in the eighties, when they enjoyed that popularity they filmed Domino Dancing in old San Juan.   The video was recorded in approximately four days in our old colonial city of San Juan in 1988 and is highlighted in the music video the Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis cemetery.

La bella y melodiosa voz de Sade Adu ha cautivado a mas de una generacion y su banda ( inglesa ) de R&B que se gestó en 1983 continúa produciendo discos. Estos combinan elementos del R&B, soul, jazz, funk y soft rock. Como dije, aun cuando continúan publicando música mantienen un perfil bajo pero Sade (Adu) es una de las 100 mejores artistas de todos los tiempos según el canal de televisión por cable VH1.  Lovers Rock fue el quinto álbum de estudio del grupo y la canción King of Sorrow es el segundo sencillo, el video de esa canción fue filmado en San Juan que además de sus calles podemos ver interiores de una casa en la calle sol, el hotel Normandie ,así como el colegio San Agustín de Puerta de Tierra.

Sade Adu’s beautiful and melodious voice has captivated more than one generation and her (English) R&B band that was created in 1983 continues to produce albums. These combine elements of R&B, soul, jazz, funk and soft rock. As I said, even when they continue to release music they keep a low profile but Sade (Adu) is one of the 100 greatest artists of all time according to the VH1 cable television channel.  Lovers Rock was the group’s fifth studio album and the song King of Sorrow is the second single. The video for that song was filmed in San Juan, in addition to its streets we can see the interiors of a house on Sol Street, the Normandie Hotel. , as well as the San Agustín school in Puerta de Tierra.

 

El fenómeno mundial de Despacito, la canción de Luis Fonsi con el rapero puertorriqueño Daddy Yankee dio a conocer aún más a la Perla  así como a la coctelera La Factoría Bar de la calle San sebastián con calle San José.

The global phenomenon of Despacito, the song by Luis Fonsi with the Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, made La Perla even more known, as well as the cocktail bar La Factoría Bar on San Sebastián Street and San José Street.
